Strawberry Bruschetta

Strawberries are at the Market! Shop our farm stand vendors for their fresh pick of the day.  Our bakers have a wide selection of breads and did you know that Lester’s Bison Farm and Pastured Perfect sell butter?  Get creative and add some balsamic vinegar from The Olive Tap or Wild Tree.  Some wine on the side from Glunz?  Perfect!


3 slices (1/2-inch-thick) rustic white bread

2 to 3 tablespoons unsalted butter

10 strawberries, sliced

3 to 5 teaspoons sugar


1.       Heat a grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the bread until golden brown, about 2 minutes per side.

2.       Spread the butter over the toasts. Arrange the sliced strawberries over the toasts. Sprinkle the strawberries with the sugar.

3.        Broil until the sugar begins to caramelize, about 2 minutes.
