If you’re craving fresh, tasty Thai food for dinner, stop by the Famers Market and visit Thai Joy. Thai Joy is a delicious Thai vendor, whose food will wow your taste buds! Their spring rolls are to die for, and they are only 1 dollar apiece! It’s Thai Joy’s first time coming to the market, but Siri (the owner) says she is fairly new at the business as well. She has only been catering for one year, but she looks like she has a lot of experience in cooking Thai food. Siri was born in Thailand but she didn’t start cooking at a young age. Instead, she started the art when she was older, because she enjoyed it more. When enjoying the delicious smells of chicken Pad Thai and Siri’s homemade sweet and sour sauce, she showed me each of her dishes with a warm smile on her face. Each dish had an array of colors that made the food look picturesque, but mouth-watering at the same time. Siri said “Cooking is an art” and I wholeheartedly believe her. She enjoys the labor of making Thai food, because it is meditative and helps fuel her creativity. Her dedication also shines through, as she explains how she buys fresh mangoes and coconuts every week to make sweet, sticky rice. She loves how she can add a cultural element to the Market as well, which is important. I have to say, her food is amazing, so make sure to stop by the Thai Joy for an Asian treat!
